The DVDs destined for the Rockridge Branch Library are listed in three categories: Adult, Teen, and Children. These lists contain the titles only. Some statistics

Number of DVDs presently in the collection at the Rockridge Branch Library: 2800.

Number of DVDs that were in the collection at Videot's: 10,000+.

Number of Videot's DVDs (cases) selected as candidates for the Rockridge Branch Library: 3,422.

Number of Videot's DVDs (cases) approved by the Oakland Public Library (OPL) staff: 2,818.

Number of approved titles in the Adult, Teen, and Children's lists: 2,375, 36, and 162, respectively.

Note that the number of titles that will ultimately be listed in the OPL catalog is not yet determined. This is due to differences in the way in which Invelos handles box sets (one title for all or separate titles for each disc), and also due to two discs being shelved in one case for some television series.

How we did it

The lists of DVD titles were compiled by scanning the bar codes on the DVD cases into "DVD Profiler 3" from Invelos Software. The lists were exported from the Invelos database format into several other formats, including HTML. This allowed them to be displayed on this site - but we have posted the titles only.
